  • Intro to fencing (adults) - Tuesdays, starts Sept 9
  • Intro to fencing (kids) - Saturdays, starts Sept 20
  • Intermediate fencing (kids) - Mondays, starts Sept 22
  • Fencing for teens - Wednesdays, starts Sept 10
Register here.  (Select Location = Britannia, Category = FIT-Fencing)

Fall club programs (intermediate and advanced fencing) begin next week! See you then!

Spring Classes 2014

Adult Beginner Course
Apr 1 - Jun 17, Tuesday evengings 7:30-9:00. Cost: $90.

Fencing for Teens
Apr 2 - Jun 18, Wednesday afternoons 4:00-6:00. Cost: $80.40.

Fencing for Children (8-14)
Beginners: Apr 5 - Jun 28 (no class Apr 19, May 17), Saturday mornings 10:00-11:30. Cost: $77.00.  
Intermediate: Apr 7 - Jun 23, Monday evenings 6:00-7:30. Cost: $90.00.

Register through Britannia Community Centre - 604-718-5800.
Or register online - select location "BR - Britannia Cmty Services Centre" and category "FIT Fencing".

The 13th Annual Vancouver Open will be held at LaSalle Fencing club on the weekend of January 4-5, 2014.

National Training Camp - Sabre

There will be a sabre national training camp at La Salle Fencing Club from 10:00 am at 12:30 pm, December 9.

This camp is not mandatory for national sabre fencers, but is strongly recommended. Coaches are invited to participate in the event. The camp is free for everyone.

Program:

10:00 am – 11:30am : Footwork and collective lesson
11:30 am – 12:30 pm : Bout
13:15 pm – 15:00 pm : Bout

2013 Fall Classes

Fencing for Children (8-14 yrs)
Introductory course: Saturday mornings, 10am-11:30am, starts September 14.
Intermediate course: Monday evenings, 6pm-7:30pm, starts September 16. To take the intermediate course, you must complete the introductory course or have 20 hours of equivalent instruction.
Fencing for Teens (14-18 yrs)
Wednesdays, 3:45-5:45pm, starts September 18.
Intro to Fencing (Adult)
Tuesdays, 7:30-9:00pm, starts September 10.
Intermediate Fencing (all ages)
Mondays, 7:30-9:00pm, starts September 9. This is a club program, open to fencing club members only.

For all courses except the last one, please sign up through Britiannia Community Centre. Online registration and costs can be found here. Select Britannia from the Location, and "FIT - Fencing" from the Category selector.

Children’s Beginner Course (ages 8-14)

  • Saturday mornings 10:00-11:30am, starting July 6
  • $56 - register through Britannia, 604-718-5800

Children’s Intermediate Fencing (ages 10+)

  • Monday evenings 6-7:30pm, starting July 8
  • $70 - register directly at the club

Teens Intermediate Fencing (ages 13+)

  • Thursday evenings 6-8pmm, starting July 11
  • $57.15 - register through Britannia, 604-718-5800

Fight like a Pirate!

  • Monday evenings 7:30-9pm, starting July 8
  • $70 - register directly at the club

Referee Clinic

  • Mondays 9pm
  • free to club members; bring your own copy of the rulebook

Advanced Fencing

  • All of the above, plus open fencing practices, starts immdiately
  • $275 ($225 students) - register directly at the club
